Before you start the audit, be aware that there are some default settings but to maximise accuracy, it would be a good idea to gather the following information:

  • Paper and pen
  • Measuring tape to measure
  • The height of each storey
  • The estimated total floor area
  • The estimated ground floor area
  • The estimated living room floor area
  • An average home heating bill
  • Count the number of double and single glazed windows
  • Count the number of regular and energy saving fixed light bulbs (excl table lamps)
Unfortunately, due to the nature of apartments, it is very difficult to undertake most energy efficient remedial works, so for this reason we currently don't offer an Electric Ireland Energy Saving Wizard report for apartments.
